CS:GO World Cup Egypt Qualifications Rulebook
1. Rules
1.1. General Points
The rules, which are listed below, are to be followed at all times by players. Anyone who registers to this tournament accepts that they understand and will follow the rules
1.2. Team & Player Eligibility
To play for the qualifications:
All players participating in the CSGO World Cup Qualifications must have a valid Steam ID (Each player must only have one account!) If a player can not access his account and then creates a new one, then he/she must write a support ticket explaining in detail the reason for not being able to access the account.
Tournament is for players with Egyptian nationality only
The minimum age for participation is 16 years
All players in the qualified team in this tournament must have a valid passport and be eligible to travel in the event of winning to travel and play the finals
Each team consists of 5 players in addition to 2 stand-ins.
It is only allowed to substitute a player before the match starts, this player needs to be registered as a reserve for your team. If the match starts, all 5 players of a team must play the game until the end.
A substitute player cannot be added mid-game.
Proof of identity is required from any of the participants during the tournament
VQ has the right to ask any player to activate webcam to verify that the player is matching the registered data along with his national ID
1.3. Team and Player Conduct
All players are asked to behave in a humane way towards other competitors, and to any member of the administration team; treat others as you would like to be treated! If a player is found guilty of misconduct by an administrator, he/ she may receive penalties. Also, teams risk qualifications kicks, bans and expulsions from the world cup qualifications
1.4. Game Versions
Every league participant must own a legal copy of every game they play. If it is proven that a player is using a pirate or illegal copy, he/she will be immediately removed from the qualifications.
The latest version of each game (update patch) should be used for matches.
1.5. Suggestions
Should a clan or a player have any suggestions for improvement to the rule, it is possible to inform the administrators via either writing a support ticket or speaking with an admin in Discord.
2. Cheating
2.1. General
All forms of cheating in matches are forbidden and will result in disqualifiction.
Players found cheating outside of the World Cup Qualifications may be barraged depending on the evidence available. Note, we do not accept publicly submitted demo or screenshot evidence in these cases.
Matches must be recorded from all sides ,In case of failure to provide the recording from any player the team will be disqualified.
Recording must be for all the rounds and featuring the voice commands
In case of any missing record VQ has the right to disqualify the team
2.1.1. Bypassing Wire Anti-Cheat
The use of programs (or "hacks") to circumvent, modify or in any way manipulate Wire Anti-Cheat is forbidden.
Any use of such programs will be penalized. Even testing of such programs in a match not happening within the qualifications will be prosecuted.
2.2. Game Modifications and Changes
In general, all programs which are not part of the original game, including custom-data and modifications, are not allowed in any game.
2.2.1. Legal programs and configuration modifications
All external voice programs are allowed (e.g. Discord, Gamevoice, Teamspeak, Ventrilo etc.). Script changes and changes to the game’s configuration are allowed, unless they are partly or completely forbidden by the game-specific rules.
2.2.2. Illegal programs and configuration modifications
Programs that provide an advantage during game play (e.g. drivers that allow the removal of walls such as ASUS or Wallhack) are forbidden. Any programs that change the game itself are forbidden.
2.2.3. New programs and/or modifications
New programs and/or modifications are forbidden, as long as they are not specifically listed as legal.
2.2.4. Compulsory programs
Additional programs have been developed for some games. These mostly serve the purpose of ensuring fair play. These additional compulsory programs are listed in the game-specific rules.
2.2.5. Server modifications
Server modifications that are neither explicitly mentioned as legal nor as illegal in the set of rules are only allowed if they do not affect the normal gameplay.
3. Overall Tournament Format
The Qualifications will start from 7th of March to the 11th of March.
All games will be Best of 3, except the grand finals/upper bracket finals will be Best of 5.
Male Qualifier will have separate bracket than female qualifiers
4. In Game Settings
4.1. Game mode
5v5 Standard
Overtime Settings Apply for both Best-of-Three and Best-of-Five matches
4.2. Map Pool - Veto
The map pool will be as follows

4.3. Hosting Matches
Matches must be hosted and scheduled on the Faceit site. ban ban pick pick ban ban, last map decider
4.4. How to win
The first team to 16 Rounds, or win by 3 rounds in Overtime, will be declared the match winner
4.5. Match Results
Faceit will record your scores after each match. For safety, take a screenshot of your scores so that they may be referred to if needed.
4.6. No Show
If a team cannot play at the scheduled start time, the team will be given a 15-minute grace period, if they still do not show, then the team will forfeit that match.
4.7. Disconnects
In the case that a player(s) disconnects during a match:
- A tactical pause will be given until the player(s) reconnects back to the game, the maximum time is 10 minutes
- If the player(s) didn’t reconnect after 10 minutes, the game will be resumed and played without this player(s)
4.8. Forfeit
Participants can choose to forfeit a match if they wish. Forfeiting will result in disqualification from the tournament only if the team is playing in the lower bracket, and will result in playing in the lower bracket if the team is in the upper bracket.
4.9. Technical Issues
Teams are responsible for their own technical issues (hardware/internet). Matches will not be rescheduled because of technical issues and matches will be played regardless.
5. Registration
Open registration for male and female separately will be on VQ website https://vqgames.gg/
Communicatio : All participating teams must add themselves to VQ discord, as all team communication and important tournament announcements will be announced there.
